  • Red River Zoo

    Fargo’s Red River Zoo is home for more than 300 animals and 75 species from areas around the world with similar climates to the Red River Valley. The zoo is located on 33 acres in southwest Fargo. Some of the animals at the zoo include camels, gray wolves, meerkats and red pandas.

    The zoo’s mission is to foster awareness and appreciation of wildlife, to educate the public on wildlife conservation and to exchange information with people and groups interested in wildlife topics, according to the zoo’s web site. The zoo officially opened in 1999.

    The Fargo zoo is located at 4420 21st Ave. S.W. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the summer through Labor Day. Winter hours are noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays only. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and $4 for children ages 2-14. Children 2 and under are free.
