Concordia College
Concordia College is a private, four-year, liberal arts college located in Moorhead, Minn. It enrolls about 2,800 students in 78 areas of study. Some of Concordia College’s majors include education, nursing, business, biology, French, philosophy and music.
Concordia is known for its study abroad programs and for being a college of faith affiliated with the ELCA. Semester and yearlong study abroad programs are available to locations all around the world. For shorter study abroad programs, some students choose to participate in May seminars during the month of May or exploration seminars during spring break. There are also summer school abroad programs.
Concordia College’s music program has 17 ensemble groups including five choirs, two bands, two orchestras and two bell choirs. It also offers several smaller musical groups, a theater program and numerous art programs.
Women’s sports at Concordia include basketball, hockey, volleyball, softball, tennis, soccer, cross country, track, swimming and diving. Men’s sports include football, soccer, cross country, golf, basketball, wrestling, hockey, baseball and tennis. There are also intermural and club sports at Concordia such as cricket and rugby.
The total combined cost per student for room, board and tuition for the 2008-2009 academic year at Concordia is $30,280, according to the college web site.
